Antigua Port Celebrates Record-Breaking Cruise Year in 2024

Last week, the Antigua Cruise Port reached a major annual milestone, welcoming 4 ships and 13,312 passengers. As of December twenty eighth, the port recorded 570 cruise ship calls and 825,526 passengers for the 12 months. This is in comparison with 446 cruise ship calls and simply 670,234 passengers in 2023. These figures signify a 27 p.c enhance in ship calls and a 23 p.c enhance in passenger arrivals year-over-year.

Among the ships docked on the port on the twenty eighth have been Norwegian Gem, Norwegian Breakaway, P&O’s Arvia, and the elegant Emerald Azzurra. Notably, Arvia and Emerald Azzurra are homeporting at Heritage Quay, additional solidifying Antigua’s rising fame as a premier homeport.
